Toxicity and Safety of Cistanche:
Acute toxicity test of rodent mice shows the toxicity of Cistanches very low, result prove that oral dose for rat at 106 times of clinical dose for man no toxic effect found.Chronic toxicity test proved that Cistanches are safe to taken for long period.
