Tree Peony Bark Extract INCI Name Paeonia Suffruticosa Extract CAS 223747-88-4 Cortex Moutan Tree Peony Root-bark Extract photo picture image To remove heat from blood, to activate blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis.
 Uterine stimulant, anti-inflammatory, sedative, anti-cholinergic

 Invigorates the blood, clears blood stagnation. This herb is most effective in warm febrile diseases when there is blood in the sputum or nose- bleeds, or when there is excessive menstrual bleeding. It is also used for amenorrhea, tumors, carbuncles, or blood stasis due to traumatic injury. It can be used topically for non-draining sores or abscesses.
 Key Actions:antibacterial,antispasmodic,anti-inflammatory,analgesic,circulatory stimulant,hypotensive (lowers blood pressure),tranquilizing.

 Paeonol Pharmacology:

 Prevent Hypertension and lower blood pressure: injection to rabbit with hypertension for 6 weeks at dosage 100 mg/(kg.d) show strong inhibition of atherosis hypertension,similar effects got at dosage 0.5g/(kg.d) to dogs with hypertension and dosage 60 mg/(kg.d) Interaperitonea Injection to rat.

 Anti-inflammatory and bacteria: Paeonol show strong inhibition to common bacteria including:Staphylococcus aureus,Streptoccus hemolyticus,E. coli,Bacillus Subtilis,etc.
