Puerarin (4?,7-dihydroxy-8-beta-D-glucosylisoflavone), is a C-glycoside compound. It is present in a large amount of active components of Puerariae radix, a com- monly used Chinese herb, which exerts sedative and antipyretic actions and is often used to treat influ- enza, wrist stiffness and headache.
