Olive Leaf Extract INCI Name Olea Europaea Leaf Extract CAS 84012-27-1 Olea Europaea Leaf Extract Olive Leaves Extract photo picture image Internal use:

It is used for a variety of ailments and it is well known that the oleuropein lowers blood pressure by increasing coronary flow. A recent study has also shown that oleacein inhibits the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). The powerful antioxidant effect of olive leaf extract also protect the heart and circulatory system from free radical damage.
Olive leaf extract is very beneficial for treating conditions caused by viruses, retrovirus, bacteria, as well as protozoa.

It interferes with the critical amino acid production of viruses and may inactivate the virus by virus budding or assembly. It can also penetrate the cells and stop viral replication.
It furthermore is effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, fungi and yeast strains and stops the production of micro-toxins, which contribute to chronic fatigue.

People with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have reported a radical improvement when taking olive leaf extract internally and report more energy and a better sense of wellbeing.

Olive leaf extract further improves candida infections and the resultant vaginal discharge, psoriasis, PMS, weight problems, headaches and all other symptoms that coincide with yeast infections.
People struggling with the Epstein Barr virus have also reported dramatic improvement.
The bark is sometimes used to treat colic.

 External use:

Olive leaf extracts can have a number of applications in cosmetics: first of all, from their traditional use as a cicatrizing agent, they can be incorporated into a formulation for skin damage either by UV radiation or for assisting with wound healing.

This activity is explained by the presence of flavonoids and oleanolic acid, which stimulate the components of the connective tissue and regularize the tissue - thereby boosting the health of the skin.

The secoiridoid derivatives (oleuropeoside) in olive leaves are responsible for the vaso-dilating and relaxing properties of their extracts.

In cosmetics this property may be used in rubefacient preparations and products for sport. Unlike Capsicum, which acts through direct stimulation of the nerve ends, olive leaf extracts act directly on the muscle, which then causes an increase in the blood irrigation.

 Indicated for:

Stabilizing blood sugar levels, parasites (giardia, intestinal worms, malaria forming protozoa, microscopic protozoa, pinworms, ringworm, roundworm, tapeworms), boosting immune function, fighting infection, increasing resistance to disease, lowering blood pressure, abdominal chill, anthrax, arteriosclerosis, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, barium chloride and calcium induced arrhythmia, boosts energy levels, brain and nervous conditions, candida, cardiovascular conditions, chest complaints, chlamydia, chronic fatigue, chronic joint ache, chronic toenail fungus infection, colds flu, cold sores, dengue, dental, ear, urinary tract and surgical infections, dissolves cholesterol, encephalitis, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), fevers, fibromyalgia, gastric ulcers caused by H. pylori, gastrointestinal conditions, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, haemorrhoid pain-relief, hepatitis A, B, C, herpes I and II, HIV/ARC/AIDS, human herpes virus 6 and 7, improves blood flow, improves symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and related conditions, increases bile secretions, lupus, malaria, meningitis (bacterial/viral), mononucleosis, nervous tension, normalisation of heart beat irregularities, pneumonia, psoriasis, rabies, respiratory conditions, rheumatic fever, salmonella, severe diarrhea, shingles, shingles (Herpes zoster), sinus infections, soothes mucous membranes, staphylococcal food poisoning, streptococcus infection in throat, syphilis, toothache, toxic shock syndrome, trichonomas, tuberculosis, vaginitis, vasodilator effect on the smooth layer of coronary arteries, warts.

 Dosages:

Olive leaf extract is currently available in the form of 500 mg. tablets. The routine dosage is one tablet every six hours or four throughout the day. Take the supplement between meals for best results.

In the case of bad colds or flu, you can use two tablets every six hours. For acute infections, some individuals have taken more -- three and even four every six hours -- and reported rapid relief.

If you encounter a "die-off" effect, cut back on the number of tablets you are taking or temporarily discontinue them. See the section on "die-off effect."

For healthy folks seeking more energy or the prevention benefits of olive leaf extract, we suggest one or two tablets a day. The younger and cleaner the body, the more responsive it is to supplements such as this. When a person becomes older and more toxic, more of the supplement is required to do the job.

 Side-effects in humans:

The only side-effect that appears to have been reported with clinical use is a so-called "die-off" effect, which has been likened to the Herxheimer reaction sometimes encountered during the treatment of yeast infections. This reaction is believed to occur when a large quantity of infectious organisms in the body are killed off in a relatively short period of time. Large amounts of toxic substances are released into the body tissues and blood stream from the dying organisms together with cellular debris, and the person's immune system rapidly reacts to these substances to remove them from the body as quickly as possible. As a result, the person may temporarily experience a number of allergic- or flu-like symptoms such as headache, fever, fatigue, muscle/joint aches, and diarrhoea. The symptoms of this "die-off", or detoxification, reaction last for between 4 and 7 days. Some patients may experience only a mild headache, and many experience no such effects at all. The effects of the "die-off" reaction are not thought to be harmful, but the manufacturer advises that if symptoms do occur, the patient should temporarily stop taking the capsules or cut back on the daily amount he/she is taking, so that the body has a chance to eliminate the toxic waste products accumulating in the system.

(1).Some people experience what is known as Herxheimers Reaction. This is a detoxification reaction and not a counteraction to the product.

If any of these symptoms should occur - greater fatigue, diarrhea, headaches, muscle/joint aches or flu-like symptoms, temporarily discontinue taking Olive Leaf Extract or cut back on the amount taken until the body can eliminate the toxic waste. Most individuals experience no such effect.

(2).A few individuals have reported a slight headache due to detoxification. If this should occur, any common pain reliever seems to work to curb the discomfort.

There are no toxic chemicals used in the preparation of our Olive Leaf Extract and all excipients are those commonly used in the food, vitamin or pharmaceutical industry in the United States.
